General Terms and Conditions – Catering De Vooruit

1. General

These general terms and conditions apply to all quotations, orders, deliveries, and agreements with Catering De Vooruit (hereinafter referred to as "the supplier"), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By placing an order or entering into an agreement, the customer declares that they agree with these terms and conditions.

2. Quotations and Orders

All quotations are non-binding and valid for 14 days, unless stated otherwise.

An order or reservation is only final after written confirmation by Catering De Vooruit (via email or signed quotation).

We reserve the right to refuse orders in cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.

3. Prices

All prices are stated in euros (€) and exclude VAT, unless stated otherwise.

Prices may be adjusted in the event of changes in the cost of raw materials, transportation, or taxes.

For customized menus or events, the price will be agreed upon in advance.

4. Payment

  • A deposit of 30% of the total amount is due upon confirmation of the order.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed.
  • For takeaway meals and deliveries, payment is required at the time of ordering or collection.
  • In case of late payment, Catering De Vooruit reserves the right not to carry out the event or delivery.

5. Cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the customer, the following conditions apply:

  • Up to 30 days before the event: free cancellation.
  • 29 to 7 days before the event: 50% of the total amount due.
  • Less than 7 days before the event: 100% of the total amount due.

Any costs already incurred (such as purchased products or reserved materials) will always be charged.

6. Delivery and Execution

We strive for punctual delivery and flawless execution.

Delivery times are determined in consultation and are indicative.

Catering De Vooruit cannot be held liable for delays due to force majeure (such as traffic, weather conditions, or supplier issues).

For on-site catering, the customer must ensure easy access and appropriate facilities (such as electricity, water, and workspace).

7. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for providing correct information (such as number of guests, location, and time).

Damage to rented materials, tableware, or equipment during use is at the customer's expense.

8. Complaints

Any complaints regarding delivery or product quality must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery.

After this period, complaints will no longer be accepted.

9. Liability

Catering De Vooruit is not liable for indirect damage, consequential loss, or loss of profit.

Liability is always limited to the invoice amount of the respective order.

10. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (such as illness, fire, natural disasters, pandemics, technical malfunctions, or transportation issues), Catering De Vooruit reserves the right to suspend, postpone, or cancel the agreement without compensation.

11. Intellectual Property

All texts, menus, photos, and designs on our website and social media channels remain the property of Catering De Vooruit and may not be used or copied without permission.

12. Applicable Law

All agreements are subject to Belgian law.

In case of disputes, only the court of the district where Catering De Vooruit is located has jurisdiction.
